Bill Description
A JOINT RESOLUTION proposing to amend the Wyoming Constitution to specify that the Wyoming legislature may, by law, define "health care" for purposes of the right of health care access and to clarify when and how the legislature may impose restrictions on the right of health care access.
Notes
The Wyoming Constitution provides each competent adult with the right to make health care decisions. The adoption of this amendment would provide that, notwithstanding any other provision of this Constitution, only the legislature, not the courts, may define what constitutes "health care". SJ07 puts this important responsibility in the hands of elected lawmakers who are more accessible and accountable to Wyoming voters.
