In early January, it became known that constituent emails were being blocked through the State’s email quarantine system. Whether wittingly or unwittingly, the Wyoming Legislative Services Office (LSO) has been censoring voter communications with legislators. This is a critical threat to the First Amendment of the United States Constitution and Section 20 of the Declaration of Rights in the Wyoming Constitution.
The solution is simple. The LSO needs to publish a list of email addresses that are being blocked and, unless they pose a legitimate security threat, create a process so these people can contact the LSO to request that their emails be removed from quarantine and delivered to their legislators.
The Management Council, a group of 10 state lawmakers who oversee the Legislative Services Office, has an upcoming vote that can fix this problem and restore Free Speech for Wyoming voters.
Sign the petition and demand lawmakers restore Free Speech in Wyoming.
